Node 2 - Ferndale, Washington
ALA Renewable Energy plans to construct and operate a facility to produce renewable hydrogen in the Ferndale area for use by industry partners. Expected uses include a nearby refinery, a utility-owned natural gas-fired peaking power plant, and liquid hydrogen distribution for heavy-duty transportation applications.
HTEC will construct and operate a hydrogen liquefaction facility in the Ferndale area from which liquid hydrogen will be distributed to a network of refueling stations and third parties. HTEC is focused on the hard-to-decarbonize sectors of heavy-duty trucks, transit buses, and port equipment.
